“Stephen Wilson, RBC ’92 alum and Executive Director of the St. John’s Church Foundation will give a talk entitled “Liberty or Death.” It will include an overview of the historic events that led to Patrick Henry’s immortal “Give me liberty or give me death!” speech, a dramatic performance of the speech in a 1700’s costume, and plans to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the speech in 2025.
PS – Richard Bland, the namesake of Richard Bland College, was one of the 120 delegates who attended the Second Virginia Convention at St. John’s Church.
