The Richard Bland College Foundation partners with donors to help students pursue their education with confidence and purpose. Through scholarship support and other student funding, we work to reduce financial barriers so students can stay focused on learning, growth, and achievement.

Foundation Background
The Richard Bland College Foundation was established to support students by expanding access to education through scholarship funding. By helping reduce financial barriers, we ensure students can focus on their goals and continue moving forward in their academic journey. With the support of scholarship funding and other resources, RBC students are less likely to stop out of school, and they graduate carrying less debt.
Thanks to the ongoing generosity of our donors, the Foundation is able to grow scholarship support each year—opening doors for more students and strengthening the future of the RBC community.
Our Journey
General Assembly establishes the College under the management of William & Mary.
RBC Foundation officially established as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization to serve the College and its students.
Foundation launches capital campaign to construct RBC’s first dorms; in 2008, Patriot Hall and Freedom Hall opened to the College’s first resident students.
RBC receives its first independent governing Board of Visitors.
In October 2027, the Foundation will celebrate 50 years of helping students achieve their potential.
